The X-Bolt Pro Long Range 6.5 Creedmoor is a semi-custom level precision rifle with proprietary barrel lapping. Fluted heavy sporter contour barrel. Full 360° carbon fiber wrap stock. Cerakote finish on the barrel, action and stock.

Browning delved into semi-custom rifle production with the X-Bolt Pro in 2017, and now we are introducing the Long-Range version of the X-Bolt Pro, featuring a heavier profile barrel for increased accuracy at longer distances. What classifies the X-Bolt Pro as a “semi-custom rifle” is the level of specialized finishing touches and higher end construction above the already top-tier X-Bolt family of hunting rifles. First, the B-Bolt Pro features a true carbon fiber stock, making it extremely lightweight and rigid. The stock is filled with a noise-dampening foam.

Cerakote durability; Additionally, the Cerakote finish on the action and barrel is also on the exterior of the stock for added protection. The burnt bronze hue mutes the color of the stock for better concealability. The barrel features a new proprietary lapping process to provide consistent accuracy and easier bore cleaning – avoiding the need for a time-consuming break-in process. Other features include a spiral fluted bolt, enlarged bolt handle, and a threaded muzzle with a muzzle brake or thread protector cap.

      Features

      BARREL ACCURACY
      • The X-Bolt is free-floated by bedding the front and rear of the action for stability and to help maintain barrel to stock spacing for consistent accuracy. A recessed muzzle crown helps protect the rifling from damage.

      FEATHER TRIGGER
The X-Bolt’s new three-lever Feather Trigger provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel.

      X-LOCK
•X-Lock scope mounts feature an all new four screw per base design that replaces the traditional two screw system. The benefits are obvious, with the bases being secured at all four corners.

      INFLEX TECHNOLOGY

      • This recoil pad has proprietary construction and material to promote a directional deflection of recoil forces, pulling the stock comb away from your face to reduce felt recoil and muzzle climb.

      BOLT UNLOCK BUTTON
The bolt unlock button works in conjunction with the top-tang safety to provide an added measure of safety during checking and unloading of the chamber.

      60° BOLT LIFT
Short 60° bolt lift is fast cycling and allows you to work the bolt quickly without the scope getting in the way.

      ROTARY MAGAZINE
An all-new detachable rotary magazine is incorporated into the X-Bolt. Constructed from a durable lightweight polymer, the magazine is designed to feed cartridges directly in-line with the bolt.

      About Browning

To get to the very beginning one would have to go back to 1805, to the birth of Jonathan Browning in Tennessee. Jonathan was the father of John Moses Browning. Like many of his time he sought a life in the West, which eventually had him setting up shop as a gunmaker and gunsmith of some note in Nauvoo, Illinois and eventually brought him further West, with the Mormon pioneers to Ogden, Utah.

John Moses Browning was born in 1855 in Ogden, Utah, and spent a great deal of his growing up years at this father’s side in his father’s store and gun repair shop. In 1878, with encouragement of his father, he designed and began production on what he felt was a superior single shot rifle. He was right. And after a production run of about 600 rifles he was sought out by Winchester Repeating Arms and soon his ingenious falling block rifle became the 1885 Winchester. This began a string of legendary products he licensed to Winchester including the Model 1886, Model 1892, 1887 shotgun, Model 94 and Theodore Roosevelt’s favorite, the 1895. There were many, many more of his creations that became Winchesters.

By the turn of the century, he was licensing his inventions to other gun makers and had already done his ground breaking work with fully automatic firearms and self-loading pistols – like the BAR, the M2 machine gun, the 1911 pistol . . .
the list goes on — which are all now the stuff of legend.

      The 6.5 Creedmoor

The 6.5mm Creedmoor was designed specifically for long-range target shooting, however due to its overall length of 2.825 inches it is capable of chambering in short-action rifles as well.

The ability to retain velocity keeps the 6.5mm Creedmoor with 140-grain match bullets in the supersonic range out to around 1,150 yd (1,052 m), while the .308 Winchester with non-ideal for long range use 168-grain match bullets has a supersonic range of about 975 yd (892 m)

In October 2017, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) tested the performance of 7.62×51mm NATO (M118LR long-range 7.62×51mm NATO load), .260 Remington, and 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridges out of SR-25, M110A1, and Mk 20 Sniper Support Rifle (SSR) rifles. SOCOM determined 6.5 Creedmoor performed the best, doubling hit-probability at 1,000 m (1,094 yd), increasing effective range by nearly-half, reducing wind drift by a third, with less recoil than 7.62×51mm NATO rounds.

In 2018, USSOCOM announced they would roll-out 6.5 mm Creedmoor in a long-range precision rifle, and use it in a carbine and assault machine-gun. That means that the US Special Forces will use the same caliber for an assault rifle, light machine gun, and sniper rifle. That will give better penetration and terminal ballistics (because of high sectional density and retained energy), while providing longer range precision fire.

X-Bolt Pro Long Range bolt-action rifle uses one of the most modern and efficient rounds within a custom weapon platform, this is easily an enthusiast level gun and can reach to extreme ranges while also being incredibly accurate, this is a serious gun for serious shooters that want nothing but the best.
